Meet Our Optometrist

Professional Eye Care From a Top Reno Eye Doctor

Jason Bolenbaker, O.D.

Dr. Bolenbaker graduated from Pacific University’s College of Optometry in 2003, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Before attending optometry school he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the Honors College at Washington State University. He grew up in the Seattle area but graduated from Reno High School with honors. Dr. Bolenbaker is a board certified Reno optometrist who specializes in the areas of treatment and management of ocular disease. He also holds membership in the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and the Scleral Lens Society. He is married with two children, a boy and a girl. He enjoys watching the NFL, is an avid fantasy football coach and dabbles in photography.

Great first visit! Dr. B. was very thorough and took a lot of time to explain procedures and results. His great understanding of the resistance people have to wearing glasses was refreshing. He made me aware that adjustment to wearing glasses is normal and takes a bit of time, but there shouldn't be a sense of failure in the process. His staff was super helpful as well in choosing frames that compliment coloring, complexion, face shape, etc.
